Why go
For the colour of the water, a few hundred metres beyond the Emerald Pool on the same forest trail. It is a sight to look at: swimming is forbidden here.
What you will find
The pool is in the same site as the Emerald Pool, on the nature trail of the Khao Pra-Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary. A sign invites you to clap your hands, and visitors report bubbles rising from the bottom in response.
Getting there
By road to the Emerald Pool site in Khlong Thom district, then on foot along the trail past the Emerald Pool. Depending on the source, it is about 400 to 600 m beyond it.
Before you go
Swimming is forbidden: the bottom is soft, shifting sand, and the water temperature varies. Stay out of the water and on the path.
Several guides say the Blue Pool is closed from May to October; one source says May and November. As of October 2026 we could not confirm either, so ask at the gate of the Emerald Pool site whether the Blue Pool is open.
