Who writes viakrabi, how the tours are chosen, and how the site pays for itself.
My name is Jean-Marc, and viakrabi is my site. It is an independent guide to Krabi, written to help you choose before you go and to be useful once you are there.
This is the only page written in the first person. Everywhere else the site says « we », because a guide is a set of judgements, not a diary.
How the tours are chosen
Each tour listed here was picked one by one: a good rating with enough reviews to mean something, a route that makes sense, and nothing that exploits animals. Each page says who the tour suits, and who should skip it.
How this site is paid for
The site is paid for by affiliate links. When you book a tour through a GetYourGuide link on this site, or a hotel through an Agoda link, the platform pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra.
Those links are marked where they appear. The commission never decides what is recommended: a tour that is not good enough is not listed, whatever it would pay.
How the information is checked
Prices come from the partner's own data at the date shown on each page, and are confirmed at booking. Positions on the map come from OpenStreetMap, place by place. Pages carry the month they were last checked, written by hand.
