Why go

For the view of Phi Phi Don from above, over Ton Sai and Loh Dalum. The climb needs no guide.

What you will find

There are three viewpoints, numbered 1, 2 and 3, along the same trail. Viewpoint 2, above Ton Sai and Loh Dalum, is the one most people mean by the Phi Phi viewpoint.

Entry is charged on the trail, in cash. The amounts quoted differ from one source to another, and so does what one ticket covers, so expect to pay at the gate rather than in advance.

Getting there

On foot only, by a signposted trail that leaves from Ton Sai village and climbs by steps. You first need to be on Phi Phi Don, by ferry from Krabi Town or Ao Nang.

Before you go

Bring small notes: the fee is paid in cash at the viewpoint.

The trail is mostly steps. Take water and avoid the hottest part of the day.
